  1941 December 17, 1941 through 1946 started in North Africa, Sicily, England, France, and then to Germany. Was Crew Chief in Army Air Corps troop carrier group flying C-47’s, mission was to supply the invasion and casualties. He continued to supply troops by dropping what look like bombs but contains supplies. Helped liberate Jews from concentration camp. One mission plane got hit, and parachuted out and waited in a barn for three days before troops caught up with him.
