  1953 Enlisted in Air Force 1953 was in the Research and Development Command B-29 44-61671 which was the forerunner of NASA. 1,100 hours of flying in B-29, which was a great aircraft. Ralph plane still in existence Gate Guardian, flown to boneyard in 1956 Aberdeen, Maryland and it was taken out in 1977 and restored it as the Great Artiste at Pease Air Force Base now at Whiteman. Flew one mission with the Hurricane hunters and lost his teeth during the hurricane. Existed service in 1957 then four years in the reserves.
