  1960 One day in basic training another soldier was making fun of him. My grandfathr got really tired of the name calling so he beat the guy up. He was then punished by having to do 500 push-ups and 500 situps in one hour. He said if it was not completed he would then have to 10 miles run.
  1961 One day when they were all just hanging out my grandfather thought it would be funny to play a practical joke on one of his comrades. So him and some of his other comrades went and collected a bunch of ants. Later that night before they went to bed they put the ants into his bed. About 30 seconds after he layed down he got up screming in terror. He stripped from his clothes and ran around naked screaming. My grandpa thought that would be a pretty funny joke to play
