My War Stories
1996 While at camp for the Bosnia peace keeping he met a boy approximately 11 years old who would come and talk with him when he was working this one particular check point. "His English was a bit broke but understandable. He never begged for food or anything like a lot of the other kids. He always asked about a watch with a broken strap I had attached to my flack jacket. Never asked for it just was always fascinated with things we had. On the last day I saw the boy I gave him that watch."
1996 "One time it was so hot out we went swimming in the Lukavac Lake but we had no swim suits so we swam in our uniforms in case we got called to H/Q which we did and when we walked into tent we had water squirting out of our eyelets on boots."
