The only other story I can think of is just the overall experience of being in the service. I got a lot out of the entire experience. Just from basic training i Learned a lot of new skills like shooting rifles, using the communicating equipment and of coarse i got into shape because of the basic training. Being in the service I got a lot of discipline from being in the service. I gained a lot of respect for people in the service and people actually out fighting. I am very thankful for everyone who has been in the service or has fought for our country. |
I had just Arrived in Anchorage and was just starting to get into the swing of things. When all of the sudden the the emergency alarm went off. A group of guys told me i was on their team because i was in their unit. I replied with, "I'm Not sure what I'm supposed to do." and they told me this kind of thing happends all the time and it was, 9 times out of 10, a drill. This time it wasnt. I reported for the drill with my team and we were flying off to do work on our networking. I forgot i bring my personal belongings so i had no tooth brush, no cloths, nothing. so right when i got there i had to do security work and i had to buy a new tooth brush and cloths until we got back to our main base. |
